Carving a wooden knife is not such complicated thing to do, especially if you have a bit of experience and if you have some skills. First of all, you need some shims from windows or doors, a sharp knife, sand paper, something you will wrap the handle in and a pen. If you want, you can add a sander, glue and stain to this list, but these are all optional. Secondly, you need to draw the outline, deciding on the shape of the blade and handle of the knife you want to carve. These two decisions depend entirely on you, there being a lot of designs you can choose from. Then, you just have to start carving, which is the funniest part. You can use a sander for this or you can just go for a razor and starts having some fun. However, you should know that the razor part is a bit more difficult, too.
The nest thing you have to do consists of sharpening the knife and giving it the round shape. You have to carve off the corners of the handle and make it easy to hold. If you want to sharpen the blade, you just have to shave it to an angle. The carving part can also be replaced by sanding. Now, you just have to wrap the handle and and do the finishing job, such as painting or whatever else you want.
