On a US Naval Officers Sword- What is the Knot on the Scabbard- ?
it is made of gold and there are 2 of them, one towards the top, and another towards the bottom of the scabbard. What are these to Solid Gold Knots called. They are not Sword knots, they are some kind of different knot, Help!

There is no knot on the sword.
Below is a list of places that make the sword you are referring to and you will see that there is no knot on them. The handle is plastic.
There is a tassle that is put on to the handle for O-6 and above. This is probably what you are thinking of. It just loops on the the handle.
